Load Testing for Cranes

Lifting validation and safetyLoad testing for cranes with a safe, controlled method

At SYM Naval we perform load tests to verify and validate the actual lifting capacity of all types of cranes. We use water bags as a progressive loading method, allowing the test to be carried out with control, stability, and a practical on-site approach.

We provide water bags up to 110 tonnes and load measurement using certified dynamometers up to 150 tonnes, adapting the test to the required load and operating environment. The result is a reliable, fast and more cost-effective solution than traditional methods, without compromising safety.

Capacity

Water bags can be combined to reach up to 110 t, enabling progressive and controlled loading throughout the test.

Measurement

Testing with certified dynamometers up to 150 t to measure the actual load accurately.

Application

Suitable for gantry, floating, tower, mobile, overhead and ship cranes.

Efficiency

A safe, fast and more cost-effective method than traditional alternatives, especially for on-site operations.

MethodologyLoad testing with water bags

We carry out load tests using water bags, applying the load progressively and in a controlled manner, with a configuration adapted to the target load and the type of equipment. The system enables efficient on-site execution and is complemented, where required, by measurement using certified dynamometers, ensuring traceability and reliability of the test outcome.

ScopeCrane applications

We perform load testing for all types of cranes, adapting the test to the equipment configuration and the required load. The water-bag solution supports efficient on-site operation and, where applicable, the test is completed with measurement using certified dynamometers, to record the applied load with accuracy and technical consistency.
